The Agni V was successfully testfired by Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) on April 19,2012 at 8.05 AM, from Wheeler Island, Odisha.
The Agni V is.an Inter-Continental Ballistic Missile (ICBM). After the successful testfire of Missile, Agni V: India also joined the Club of ICBM along' with USA, UK, Russia, China and France.
• Agni V has equipped with Multiple Independently Targetable Re-entry Vehicle (MIRV) Technology, which would enable it to reach inter-continental distances and hit multiple targets.
II This missile has been designed to survive in very high temperatures as it re-enters the earth's atmosphere to destroy the target.
