National Panchayati Raj Day - 24th April
The 73rd Constitutional Amendment Act, 1992 came into force with effect from April 24, 1993 has vested constitutional status on Panchayati Raj institutions. The government of India decided to celeberate April 24 every year as National Panchayati Raj Day in 2010.
