Autism Awareness Day - 2nd April  This day has been held every year since September 9, 1989. It was designated by the United Nations General Assembly resolution "62/139. World Autism Awareness Day", adopted on December 18, 2007.

National Maritime Day (India) - 5th April On this day in 1919, navigation history was created when SS Loyalty, the first ship of The Scindla Steam Navigation Company Limited, journeyed to the United Kingdom, a crucial step for India shipping history when sea routes were controlled by the British. 

World Health Day - 7th April In 1948, World Health Organization (WHO) held the First World Health Assembly. The Assembly decided to celebrate April 7 of each year (with effect from 1950) as the World Health Day. 

National Safe Motherhood Day - 11th April National Safe Motherhood day was observed across India to create awareness on proper health care and maternity facilities to pregnant and lactating women.

World Haemophilia Day - 17th April World Haemophilia Day is an international observance held annually on April 17 by the World Federation 0 Haemophilia (WFH).ltwas started in1989; April 17was chosen in honour of Frank Schnabel's birthday who founded WFH in 1963. 

World Heritage Day - 18th April This day was proposed by the International Council on Monuments and Sites (lCOMOS) on April 18, 1982 and approved by the General Assembly of UNESCO in 1983. The aim is to promote awareness about the diversity of cultural heritage of humanity, their vulnerability and the efforts required for their protection and conservation.

International Mother Earth Day - 22nd April International Mother Earth Day was established in 20Q9 by the UN General Assembly under Resolution NRES/63/278 to promote a view of the Earth as the entity that sustains all living things found in nature. 

National Panchayati Raj Day - 24th April The 73rd Constitutional Amendment Act, 1992 came into force with effect from April 24, 1993 has vested constitutional status on Panchayati Raj institutions. The government of India decided to celeberate April 24 every year as National Panchayati Raj Day in 2010.
